Clearwater County Fair, Bagley, MN 2019

The SSFC was again at the Clearwater County Fair where members demonstrated weaving, dyeing, needle felting, spinning and preparing wool.  Sheep shearing was demonstrated by Byron Johnson.  Children and adults all enjoyed trying their hand at using wool to make products.

Clearwater County fairgoers flocked to the sheep barn August 3rd and 4th, 2017 for the 4-H and Open class sheep shows and the Sustainable Sheep and Fiber Community of Northern Minnesota (SSFC) was there to greet them.   While kids learned how to make a friendship bracelet using the art of Japanese braiding known as Kumihimo, their parents learned about the educational opportunities and events sponsored by the SSFC.
